PATC successfully conducted Airside Driver Training for BOR – Lao PDR, strengthening essential knowledge and safety awareness for personnel operating within airside areas.
On 30 September 2026, Pattaya Aviation Training Center (PATC) conducted the Airside Driver (Initial) Training for participants from BOR – Lao PDR.
The training was designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and practical understanding of safe driving and operations within airside areas, where strict safety procedures and situational awareness are critical to daily operations.
Building Safe and Confident Airside Operations
During the Airside Driver Training, participants developed their understanding of key areas including Airside Safety Requirements, Airside Driving Procedures, hazard and risk identification, safe separation from aircraft and ground equipment, speed limitations, right-of-way requirements, and safety awareness.
The training also emphasized the importance of developing a strong Safety Culture, encouraging personnel to recognize potential risks and apply appropriate safety procedures while operating in an airside environment.
These essential practices help reduce the risk of vehicle-related incidents, aircraft damage, and other operational hazards while supporting safe and efficient airport operations.
Safety Starts with the Right Training
Operating a vehicle in an airside environment requires more than driving skills. Personnel must understand specific airside regulations, operational limitations, potential hazards, and their responsibilities when working around aircraft, vehicles, equipment, and other airport personnel.
Through professional aviation training, PATC aims to ensure that participants can apply their knowledge appropriately and perform their duties with greater safety awareness, confidence, and responsibility.
PATC would like to thank BOR – Lao PDR for choosing us as your aviation training partner.
Train Safe. Work Safe. Airside Ready.
