Safety Management System

Safety Management System

Duration :

12 Hrs.

Course Format :
Flight Data Recorder (FDR) is a course designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of the operating principles, system architecture, data recording functions, and safety significance of the flight data recorder installed on aircraft.

Instructor Qualification :
The course covers the types of parameters recorded, including airspeed, altitude, heading, flight control inputs, engine performance data, and various aircraft system parameters. It also addresses data protection standards, crash-survivability requirements, installation criteria, inspection and maintenance procedures, functional testing, and data recovery and analysis processes following incidents or accidents.

IParticipant and Qualification :

The training aligns with international standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization and applicable national aviation regulatory requirements. The FDR plays a critical role in accident investigation, safety analysis, and operational performance monitoring.

Objective :

Flight Data Recorders are essential tools for supporting accident investigations, Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programs, safety trend analysis, and the continuous improvement of aviation safety.

Course Outline :

This course is designed to enable participants to:

  • Understand the principles and architecture of the Flight Data Recorder system
  • Identify the types of data recorded and their operational significance
  • Recognize installation, inspection, and maintenance requirements
  • Understand the role of FDR data in accident investigation and safety management
  • Support data-driven safety analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
