IParticipant and Qualification :

Human factors play a critical role in ensuring airworthiness, operational safety, and maintenance efficiency. Maintenance activities are performed in complex operational environments where performance, communication, teamwork, and decision-making directly influence safety outcomes. Developing awareness of “good” versus “poor” performance requires supportive and effective working relationships between Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and flight crew members, as well as the ability to cope with operational pressures and challenging situations.

Objective :

This course is designed to enhance maintenance personnel’s awareness of both positive and negative organizational human factors that may affect airworthiness. It aims to strengthen essential non-technical skills and promote a proactive safety culture within maintenance operations.

Course Outline :

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1.Developing awareness of “good” versus “poor” performance accepts the need for supportive and operative interrelationships between AMEs and crew members and cope with difficult situations.

2.To enhance maintenance personnel’s awareness and organizational human factors issues both positive and negative, that may affect airworthiness.

3.To develop human factors skill (such as communication, effective teamwork, task management, situational awareness, writing of procedure) as appropriate to the job, to make a positive impact on the safety and efficiency of maintenance operations

4.Analyze the role of these factors in real-life incidents.

5.Apply concepts learned in human factors training in the performance of their role-playing duties and responsibilities.

6.Human error, error model and theories, type of error in maintenance task, violations, implications of error, avoiding and managing in errors,
